One thing about blogging is that your regular readers will "know" you and give a certain weight to your opinions. In that sense it is like word of mouth from a friend rather than "press." On the other hand, if your blog is more like a column than a personal blog, and has a big readership of people you don't know, then bad press might be nothing more than putting the person's name up in lights just one more time. But none of my blogs are like that, so I think bad press on my blog is probably, in fact, bad press. I agree with Montucky.
